📚 How The Calculator Works
💰 Net Calculation
From your gross salary, income tax (approx. 14-42%) and social contributions (approx. 20%) are deducted. With tax class I and standard deductions, this gives your net income.
🏠 Housing Allowance
With low income, you're entitled to Wohngeld (housing allowance). The amount depends on income, rent, and household size. It can be several hundred euros.
👶 Child Supplement
Families with children receive up to €292 per child additionally. This significantly increases available income and often makes work more worthwhile than welfare.
📊 Bürgergeld Welfare
Bürgergeld consists of the standard needs (€563 for singles) plus housing costs (rent). There are additional amounts for children and partners.
